Walkthrough

    Red Coin 1: From the start, head up the main path. You'll see a Goomba. Defeat it and continue up the stairs. The first Red Coin is on the first set of stairs.

    Red Coin 2: Continue up the stairs. You'll reach a section with rotating platforms. Jump across these to the next set of stairs. The second Red Coin is on this next set of stairs.

    Red Coin 3: Keep climbing. You'll encounter a Whomp. Defeat it by jumping on its head twice. The third Red Coin is located on the platform just past the Whomp.

    Red Coin 4: From the Whomp's platform, look to your right. There's a small platform with a single coin. Jump to it to collect the fourth Red Coin.

    Red Coin 5: Continue up the main path. You'll reach a section with a series of moving platforms that take you across a gap. Carefully jump across these. The fifth Red Coin is on the platform just after the moving ones.

    Red Coin 6: After the moving platforms, you'll see a cannon. If you have enough Stars, you can use it to reach a higher area. However, for this coin, continue up the main path. You'll reach a section with a large, rotating tower. The sixth Red Coin is on the side of this tower, accessible by jumping from the path.

    Red Coin 7: Climb the rotating tower. The seventh Red Coin is located on the very top of the tower.

    Red Coin 8: From the top of the tower, jump off towards the large, floating island in the distance. The eighth Red Coin is on this island.

    Power Star: Once all 8 Red Coins are collected, the Power Star will appear on the platform where the Whomp was initially located. Return to that platform to collect the Star.

  • The Whomp can be defeated by ground-pounding its head twice.
  • Be careful when jumping on the rotating platforms and moving platforms, as falling will send you back to the start of the level.
  • The cannon can be used to reach the Power Star more quickly once all Red Coins are collected, but it's not necessary.
