Star 1 - Big Bob-Omb on the Summit - Bob-Omb Battlefield

You'll start in Bob-Omb Battlefield. Look for the huge mountain in the middle – that's where your first Power Star is! Talk to the Bob-Omb Buddy near you by pressing the B Button. They'll give you some tips on how to interact with others and read signs. Listen to their advice; those Bob-Ombs can throw water bombs, so watch out!

Once you're done chatting, head up the dirt path leading towards the mountain. You'll encounter some Goombas along the way; feel free to fight them and grab any coins. Continue up the wooden slope and follow the path. You'll pass a giant Chain Chomp – definitely stay clear of him, as he can lunge and hurt you!

Keep following the dirt path and cross the seesaw to the next area. Head up the stone steps, make a right, and walk through the opening in the bars.

Now, you need to start climbing the mountain proper. First, you'll need to cross a pit with cannonballs rolling around. Be careful! Continue up the dirt path, making sure to dodge any cannonballs rolling down towards you.

You'll eventually spot a hole in the wall up the mountain. Go inside and stand still for a few seconds. This will teleport you to a new spot much closer to the summit!

Finish climbing the rest of the way up. At the very top, you'll see the Big Bob-Omb, wearing a crown and staring out into space. Approach him to initiate the battle for your first Power Star.

The Big Bob-Omb will boast about being the most explosive force around and challenge you. To defeat him, you need to pick him up and throw him down. The easiest way is to quickly walk behind him, get close to his back, and press the B Button to grab him.

Once he's hoisted up, press the A Button to throw him. Warning: Absolutely DO NOT throw him off the edge of the mountain! If you do, he'll just fly back up, and you'll be disqualified for cheating, meaning you'll have to start the fight over.

You need to successfully throw him onto the mountain-top three times. After the third successful throw, he'll give up, and you can grab the Power Star to finish the level!
