    Coin 1: Near the first Bob-omb bully, look right of its platform. Walk up a black wire-type platform to the end. Be careful not to fall into the lava.

    Coin 2: After the first Spark, find a tilting platform. The coin is on the far side of this platform.

    Coin 3: In the green cage area (above the pole that gives an extra life), look in the top, far right section.

    Coin 4: In the green cage area, step left on the cage platform and touch the elevator. Quickly jump back into the cage. The coin is in the hole left by the rising elevator.

    Coin 5: After the cage area, cross the lava pit with the flame launcher. Run up the triangular platform, stay on the flat top, and climb the yellow sloping platform. At the top is a grey circular platform with a Bob-omb bully. The coin is in the center. Warning: The Bob-omb bully will try to knock you off.

    Coin 6: Reach the grey platform with two Bob-omb bullies. Look left for a yellow wire net platform. Climb up it and two more. Stand directly under the shadow on the tilting platform. Wait for it to tilt all the way up to grab the coin.

    Coin 7: At the end of the level, near the six consecutive lava platforms. Wait next to lava platform #5, which has a flame thrower. Wait for the flame thrower to stop, then run through where its base is. The coin is there.

    Coin 8: Just before the level's end, above the third of three poles that move up and down.

Once all 8 red coins are collected, the star will appear on a giant stone ledge located before the falling bridge at the end of the level. To reach this ledge, wall kick up onto the stone ledge across from it, then long jump onto the star's ledge.
