Deus Ex Part 34 walkthrough: Learn how to vent halon gas, control cameras with TJEFFERSON/NEWREVOLUTION, and find the distress signal login.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon encountering UNATCO Troops, you'll be told you're not supposed to be there.
- 2Find a crate containing BUCKSHOT SHELLS.
- 3In the maintenance room, locate a Med Bot and a DataCube that details the existence of halon gas in the computer room.
- 4Find the Venting on/off Switch and turn it on to vent the gas out of the computer room. A Hazmat Suit is recommended against the halon gas, though it may not be present.
- 5Enter the computer room and turn right three times to find a Terminal.
- 6Interact with the Terminal to gain the 30 SP AREA LOCATION BONUS for finding the garage Terminal.
- 7TJEFFERSON/NEWREVOLUTION offers the option to turn off a camera and open a passageway.
- 8On Level Four and the roof, find a crate containing 10MM AMMO.
- 9Descend to the ground floor and locate a hole in the Southeast corner of the floor.
- 10Replenish your Energy and go down through the hole to gain the 50 SP AREA LOCATION BONUS for entering the hatchway in the garage.
- 11You will end up in a room with a CROWBAR on a table.
- 12To the West, open the 40% Strength Locked door to reach a Terminal that opens other doors. Be aware that poisonous barrels are behind this door; you will need to wait for the gas to dissipate.
- 13Past this door, find two crates containing 10MM AMMO and 7.62x51MM AMMO.
- 14Locate a Terminal near some barrels. TJEFFERSON/NEWREVOLUTION allows you to disable three cameras and open three doors.
- 15Continue until you find two stacked supply crates with a TNT box on top.
- 16The crates contain a MULTITOOL and a LOCKPICK. Avoid dropping the TNT box, as it will explode.
- 17Open the door to the North.
- 18In the room with three turrets, locate three small Metal Crates near a crate containing a MEDKIT. These can be used to apply pressure to activate wall panels that lock turrets.
- 19Alternatively, you can shoot the turrets with a GEP Gun or disable lasers with LAMs or EMP Grenades.
- 20The door at the end has a 60% Strength Lock. You can blow it up, or find the key in the Ladies' Bathroom area.
- 21Avoid the gas cloud in one corner of this room. You can explode the barrels to dissipate the gas.
- 22The crate contains BUCKSHOT SHELLS.
- 23The door to the East has a 40% Strength Lock and leads to a storage room.
- 24This storage room contains ROCKETS, WP ROCKETS, two crates with EMP GRENADES, and a HAZMAT SUIT.
- 25The other door leads to your objective. You will reach a t-junction.
- 26The left path, if you opened the doors with the Terminal earlier, leads directly to your goal.
- 27The right path has tripwire lasers and some minor items.
- 28The first 'fence' of lasers can be blown up or partly disabled by a 40% Strength Panel.
- 29Find a BALLISTIC ARMOR and a crate with a MEDKIT in one corner, and a crate with two MULTITOOLS in another.
- 30Enter the next room, skipping the previous one for now.
- 31Behind a 20% Strength Lock, find a RIOT PROD, a PROD CHARGER, an ACCURACY WEAPON MODIFICATION, and a GAS GRENADE.
- 32On top of a cabinet, find a DataCube containing the information needed to send the distress signal: login NAPOLEON, password REVOLUTION.
- 33You will gain the 150 SP ACCOMPLISHMENT BONUS for finding the distress signal login.
- 34Primary Goal: Send the NSF distress signal from the satellite transmitter on the roof of NSFHQ.
- 35A second DataCube, containing proof that UNATCO is corrupt and working for Simons, can be found on top of a server machine (in the GotYE game) or in the cabinet (in the original game).
- 36Head into the West room.
- 37Behind a 30% Strength Lock, find two BIOELECTRIC CELLS and a LOCKPICK. This cabinet can be opened with a Baton if you have Combat Strength and are Trained.
Tips
- A Hazmat Suit is recommended against the halon gas inside the computer room, though it may not be present.
- If you choose an explosive solution for the 40% Str Locked door, be aware of poisonous barrels and wait for the gas to dissipate.
- When dealing with the turrets and lasers, you can shoot them, disable lasers with LAMs or EMP Grenades, or use the pressure plates.
- Blowing up lasers may be the most silent solution, as the pressure plate puzzle still involves walking through active lasers and sounding the alarm.
- The door at the end has a 60% Str Lock; you can blow it up or find the key.
- You can explode the barrels near the gas cloud to dissipate it.
- Using non-explosive means to pass the lasers can be a tremendous hassle; blowing them up is recommended.
- Consider if the BALLISTIC ARMOR, MEDKIT, and MULTITOOLS found past the lasers are worth the cost of LAMs or Rockets.
- The login for the distress signal is NAPOLEON, and the password is REVOLUTION.
- The Zurich accounts are mentioned due to Switzerland's status as an international financial center vulnerable to money laundering.
