To even get this quest, you need to have finished the 2-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Ahoy! Royal Ludroth.” My advice? Bring plenty of Flash Bombs, especially for Rathalos, as they can really disrupt their attacks. Dung Bombs are also your best friend here to separate them or get one to move if they're both on your tail. Successfully completing this quest is key, as it unlocks the 7-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Into the Maelstrom” and gives you the weapon craft unlock for the Bowgun, the Aquamatic Needle.

The Hero's Journey

Here, you're tasked with hunting a Tigrex in the Arctic Ridge. The subquest is to wound its head, so focus your attacks there. You'll need to have completed the “Tigrex by the Tail” quest before this one becomes available from Pokke Village’s Armory Granny. This fight is pretty straightforward if you remember your previous encounters with Tigrex. Completing it is important because it unlocks the 6-star Hunter’s Hub quest “Desert Brawlers” and grants you the weapon craft unlock for the Dual Blades, the Heroic Twins.

Drawing the Waterline

This quest takes you to the Misty Peaks and requires you to hunt all large monsters: two Royal Ludroths and then a Lagiacrus. The subquest is to earn 700 Wycademy Points. To even get this quest, you need to have completed the 4-star village quest “Hunt-a-thon: Velocidrome,” and then you’ll talk to Trenya in Pokke Village. The tricky part is starting with two Royal Ludroths; they'll likely be in the same area, so be ready for a dual fight. Once they're down, the Lagiacrus appears solo, which should be a bit more manageable.

The Bellowing Zinogre

Another hunt in the Misty Peaks, this time focusing on a single Zinogre. The subquest is to mount and topple the monster twice. You'll need to have completed “Tuff Turf” before this pops up, and then you’ll talk to the Uppity Instructor in Yukumo Village. Since you've fought Zinogre before, the core mechanics are the same. The real reward here isn't just the hunt itself, but the new Kitchen ingredient you get: Master Ale. This ingredient is crucial because it allows you to craft dishes that guarantee the Felyne Insurance skill, which means your first cart won't count! Super handy for those tougher hunts.

Advanced: Out of the Fry Pan

This is a serious challenge, taking place in the Arena. You need to hunt three powerful monsters back-to-back: a Deviljho, a Tigrex, and a Nargacuga. There's no subquest here, but the real kicker is that **these monsters have High Rank power and health**, even though you're likely still in Low Rank gear. You absolutely need to have completed “The Fated Four” and spoken to the Yukumo Village Chief to unlock this. Do NOT attempt this with Low Rank gear unless you're a seasoned pro.
