Alright, let's talk about kitting out your Palico! These furry companions have their own gear, separate from yours, and it's pretty important, especially if you play as a Prowler. Think of it like this: your Palico's gear has two slots – one for the head and one for the body. Unlike your armor, Palico gear isn't made from the usual monster parts you need for your own gear. Instead, it uses something called **Scraps**.

So, how do you get these Scraps? Well, whenever you craft armor for yourself, you'll get a bonus amount of Scraps related to that armor set. For example, crafting a full set of Mizutsune armor will net you 10 Mizutsune Scraps, with 2 Scraps coming from each individual piece. Weapons, however, don't give you Scraps when you craft them.

But don't worry, there are other ways to stock up! You can trade in monster materials directly for Scraps. For instance, one piece of Mizutsune Purplefur can be exchanged for one Mizutsune Scrap. Another cool method is through the Meownster Hunters. If your Meownster Hunters can travel to a region where a specific monster hangs out, sending them to fight it gives you a chance to snag some Scraps. When you're crafting Palico armor, you'll usually find it requires a mix of generic Scraps and monster-specific ones. Palico weapons are a bit different; very rarely, they might need actual monster materials alongside the Scraps. Take the Mizutsune parasol weapon, for example – it needs both Bubblefoam and Mizutsune Scraps. But don't stress about sacrificing your rare drops for your cat's gear; these instances are uncommon.

Seriously though, pay attention to your Palico's equipment. Higher defense and attack stats make a noticeable impact in hunts. If you're a big Prowler Mode fan, keeping your cat's gear in top shape is a must. A well-equipped Palico can actually end up being more powerful than you are! How wild is that?
