Learn how to train your Palicos in Monster Hunter Generations using the Palico Dojo. Teach skills, support moves, and change target preferences.
Walkthrough
- 1Access the Palico Dojo.
- 2Select 'Lessons' to teach skills or support moves.
- 3For 'Support Move Lesson', choose a 'Master' Palico and up to three 'Students'. Note that not all Support Moves can be taught; some are innate or locked and cannot be passed on.
- 4For 'Palico Skill Lesson', teach skills. There are more skills available to teach than support moves. Remember that each Palico can only learn one skill at a time, and locked skills cannot be passed on until unlocked by the cat.
- 5Select 'Forget a Move/Skill' to remove learned skills or support moves from a Palico.
- 6Select 'Special Training' for other tasks:
- 'Intense Training' to power-level a cat, which consumes Enthusiasm quickly.
- 7'Catnap' to restore Enthusiasm quickly.
- 8'Meditation' to change a cat's target preference (e.g., from 'Small Only' to 'Large First' or 'Balanced').
- 9You can 'Stop Training' at any time, but any resource points consumed will not be refunded.
Tips
- Skills are not fixed forever; you can transfer skills between Palicos.
- Palicos can only learn one skill and one special move.
- Locked skills or support moves cannot be taught until the Palico has unlocked them.
- Changing target preferences can be useful for optimizing your Palico's behavior in hunts.
