Mass Outbreaks are your ticket to finding Shiny Pokémon and leveling up your team quickly in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. These events gather a ton of the same Pokémon in one area, giving you a great opportunity. You'll be able to battle between 100-120 of a specific Pokémon before the outbreak ends.

Shiny Farming with Mass Outbreaks:

Here's how the shiny rates improve as you take down Pokémon during an outbreak:

• Standard Shiny Rate: 1 in 4,096
• After 30+ Pokémon battled: 2 in 4,096 (1 in 2,048)
• After 60+ Pokémon battled: 3 in 4,096 (1 in 1,365.67)

For even better odds, make sure you have the Shiny Charm and consider eating sandwiches that boost your Shiny encounter rates. You can also combine this with the Picnic Shiny Method for a dedicated farming session, though it's quite time-consuming!

Finding Mass Outbreaks:

To find an outbreak, just open your map. Look for a black **?** with a shiny background, or a Pokémon icon with a shiny background. If you've already encountered the Pokémon, its face will appear on the map; otherwise, it'll be a question mark.

XP Farming with Mass Outbreaks:

Mass Outbreaks are fantastic for grinding XP. You have two main ways to do this:

• Battling: Engage in traditional battles for the full XP amount.
• Let's Go! Feature: This is the fastest method. Throw out your lead Pokémon, aim it towards the outbreak Pokémon, and it'll auto-battle them. You'll get half the XP compared to manual battles, but it's much quicker. Equip a Lucky Egg to your Pokémon to boost the XP even further! Your other party members will also gain half the XP your lead Pokémon does.

This method is great because outbreaks can appear anywhere on the map, letting you farm higher-level Pokémon for even more XP!
