The real key to making this work is finding a tree that's a bit out of the way, with not too many other Pokemon spawning nearby. Once you've found your spot, use that Sparkling Sandwich. This forces Pokemon to keep spawning and falling out of the tree. And don't sweat it if your Pokemon accidentally knocks out a shiny – the 'Let's Go' mode is smart enough to stop attacking if it's a shiny! It'll just freeze, which is your cue that you've found a shiny. A super good spot for this whole operation is the Tagtree Thicket. It's pretty isolated and works wonders. Zorua and Applin are especially easy to hunt there because of their types. Just a heads-up, Zorua likes to disguise itself as other Pokemon, so don't freak out if it looks like a Spidops is falling out – it's probably just your Zorua! Always, always save your game before you start this, especially if you've got limited sandwiches or just want a safety net.

As for how long it takes? Honestly, it really depends on your luck. But generally, you'll probably find a shiny within a couple of 30-minute sessions. That's because each sandwich lasts for 30 minutes. So, the best advice is to just get comfy, maybe put on a show, and let your Pokemon do the heavy lifting. Set an alarm for 30 minutes, and when it goes off, check what you've got. Remember, you can really only focus on one tree at a time, and it takes a little while for Pokemon to spawn and drop.
