How to Defeat Normal Gym Leader Larry

Getting to Medali: Fast travel to Cascarrafa, then head into Asado Desert. Cross the desert northwest until you find a path to West Province (Area Two). From there, head north across a river or west through a cave to reach West Province (Area Three). Finally, head southwest to Medali.

Recommended Team Level: Ensure your Pokémon are Level 35 or higher.

Type Advantages: Fighting-type Pokémon are highly effective against Normal-types. Consider Pokémon that can resist or are immune to Normal-type moves.

Dudunsparce (Level 35, Normal)

Staraptor (Level 36, Normal/Flying with Normal Tera-type)

Battling Komala: Komala uses Yawn to make your Pokémon drowsy and Slam. Try to defeat it quickly with a strong Fighting-type or your strongest Pokémon before it puts your team to sleep.

Battling Dudunsparce: Dudunsparce uses Glare to paralyze and Hyper Drill. It's not very tanky, so focus on dealing high damage. Use items to heal if necessary.

Battling Terastallized Staraptor: Staraptor Terastallizes and uses Intimidate, lowering your Pokémon's attack. Its Facade attack doubles in power (to 140) if it's poisoned, paralyzed, or burned, so avoid inflicting status conditions. It also uses Aerial Ace, which always hits. Avoid Grass, Fighting, and Bug types if possible.
