What are School Classes for?

Alright, so you've made your way to Mesagoza and enrolled in the Academy. After the initial story stuff and meeting Nemona, the Treasure Hunt kicks off, and you're free to tackle the three main story paths: Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street. Most players zoom off to explore Paldea, totally forgetting about the school. But hey, you can actually start taking classes now! Each subject has regular classes, a midterm, and a final test. As you get further into the story, you'll unlock more subjects and get to know more teachers.

You won't see the *really* big rewards until post-game, but classes are still super useful for more than just lore. Each teacher has a bond with you that goes up every time you attend their class. While the regular class questions don't seem to affect your bond much, nailing the midterm questions makes a huge difference.

Once you've finished all your final tests and really bonded with your teachers, you'll get a special reward from each of them. It's totally worth the effort to attend classes and ace those tests, especially since some of the rewards are pretty sweet.
