Discover the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Nature Chart! Learn how Natures affect stats, which mints to use, and how to get the best Nature for your Pokémon.

Every Pokémon has a Nature, reflecting its personality and influencing its stats. Natures are randomly assigned and can be viewed on a Pokémon's status screen. Each Nature boosts one stat by 10% and decreases another by 10%. Natures also determine a Pokémon's preferred sandwich flavors.

Mints can be used to change a Pokémon's Nature. These mints can be purchased at Chansey Supply Stores for 20,000 or found as hidden items. The following table details each Nature, its corresponding Mint, and the stat increases and decreases:

While Natures are not crucial for beating the main story, they become significant in competitive battles and challenging post-game content. A beneficial Nature can provide a 10% boost to key stats, making a substantial difference.

When choosing a Nature, consider the Pokémon's role. For example, a physical attacker might benefit from an Adamant Nature (boosting Attack), while a fast Pokémon might prefer a Speed-boosting Nature. It's generally advisable to avoid Natures that don't provide any stat boosts. If a Pokémon has a low stat, it's often better to work around it or use a different Pokémon rather than trying to compensate with a Nature.

To influence a Pokémon's Nature:

  • Breeding: If a parent holds an Everstone, their Nature is passed down to offspring 100% of the time. Avoid having both parents hold an Everstone.
  • Mints: Mints can modify a Pokémon's stats to effectively change its Nature. This effect does not pass down to offspring.
