How to Beat Klawf: Rock Titan To

Learn the best strategies and tips to defeat the Stony Cliff Titan, Klawf, in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Discover its weaknesses and recommended Pokémon.

Stats / Weaknesses:

• Type: Rock
• Weaknesses: Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Steel
• Resistances: Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying

Phases:

1. Phase 1: The Chase
   After initiating the battle, Klawf will flee. You'll need to chase it across the rocky terrain. Use your Koraidon/Miraidon's abilities to navigate quickly. Klawf will periodically attack, so dodge its projectiles. Your goal is to catch up and break its shell.
2. Phase 2: Battle Against Klawf
   Once you break its shell, Klawf will become stunned, allowing you to engage in a standard Pokémon battle. Focus on using your super-effective moves.
3. Phase 3: Klawf's Fury
   After taking some damage, Klawf will enter a more aggressive state, using powerful Rock-type attacks. Continue to dodge and attack its weak points.
4. Phase 4: Final Stand
   In its weakened state, Klawf will attempt to use its signature move. Be prepared to dodge and deliver the final blows to defeat it.

Strategy:

• Bring Pokémon with strong Water- or Grass-type moves. Examples include Quaxly (if chosen as starter), Buizel, or Pawmi (with its Electric-type moves, it can also be effective against its shell).
• During the chase, focus on dodging Klawf's attacks and using your ride Pokémon's abilities to close the distance.
• When battling Klawf directly, target its weak points. Its shell is a primary target, and breaking it will stun Klawf.
• Be mindful of Klawf's powerful Rock-type attacks, especially in the later phases. Use defensive maneuvers and switch Pokémon if necessary.
• After defeating Klawf, you will receive a Scale of the Stony Cliff Titan and unlock the ability to use the 'Dash' ability for your Koraidon/Miraidon.
