Alright, so you're heading into the Connecting Cave, and the part they call Zubat Roost. Don't worry, Zubats aren't as annoying here as they used to be in older games, but you'll still find 'em. Plus, there are a few other Pokémon hanging around that you might want to catch.

When you first enter the cave, head west. You'll run into a trainer pretty quickly.
Trainer Battle: Pokemon Breeder Mercy
- Ducklett (Level 12, Water/Flying)
- Litleo (Level 12, Fire/Normal)
- Pikachu (Level 12, Electric)
- Oddish (Level 12, Grass/Poison)
After that battle, keep heading west and go up the stairs. Then, take the path south. You'll hit a dead end here for now because you need the Strength HM to go any further. So, it's time to head back outside the cave.
Before you even get back to the cave entrance, look for a tree to the north-east. There's an item hidden there, so go grab it!
Once you're back outside the cave, you'll see another Photo Spot. Feel free to snap a pic if you want. When you're done, head south until you see some stairs going west. Go up those stairs and follow the path. You'll come across some tall grass to your south. Head into it and go west through the grass.
Keep going, and you'll find a Persim Berry tree. Grab a berry from it! Just south of that tree, you can also find a Tiny Mushroom. Head back to the main path and keep moving forward. You'll notice a spot where you can use Cut on a tree. Go ahead and do that, then follow the new path that opens up. At the very end, you'll find a Silver Powder.
Now, backtrack a bit and head west through another entrance into Connecting Cave. You're back inside! Head west again. You'll find a Scientist who will heal up your Pokémon for you. After that, just keep going west until you exit the cave and find yourself on Route 8.
