Guide your way through the Poke Ball Factory in Pokémon X and Y, battling Team Flare Grunts and Admins to uncover secrets and grab valuable items like the Master Ball.

Alright, so you've made it to the Poke Ball Factory, and wouldn't you know it, Team Flare is causing trouble again! Don't worry, we'll get you through this. First things first, you'll run into a Team Flare Grunt blocking your path. You can't get past them directly, so we'll have to take a detour through the factory's conveyor belt system.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
You'll start by heading west onto a conveyor belt. This will take you to an area where you can battle another Team Flare Grunt. Go ahead and take them on if you're up for it. Their Toxicroak is weak to Psychic moves, so keep that in mind!
  2. 2
After the battle, head north along the conveyor belt. At the end, you'll find a Quick Ball. Grab it, then hop back on the conveyor belt, this time from the northern section. You'll travel north into the next area.
  3. 3
This path is blocked, so you'll need to get back on the conveyor belt again. This time, choose the western tile. You'll travel west, then north, then east. In this new area, you'll find another Grunt facing away from you. If you want to battle, just talk to them. They've got a Mightyena and a Golbat.
  4. 4
Once that Grunt is defeated, head east under some stairs, then south to find an obscured item. It turns out to be a Metal Coat! Remember, this item can evolve Onix or Scyther when traded.
  5. 5
Head back to where the Grunt was and go north to the next conveyor belt. This one will zig-zag you south. Get off and, instead of going up the stairs, head north along the ground.
  6. 6
You'll find another item here: a Timer Ball. Snag it, then go back and head up the stairs. Follow them north, then west, then north again. You'll reach a split in the path and get challenged by another Grunt with a Poison-type Swalot.
  7. 7
After defeating her, head west to a building. Go inside and talk to the guy by the trash can – he'll heal your Pokémon for free! You can come back here anytime you need to.
  8. 8
Head back outside and go south from the building. Go down the stairs, and you'll find a conveyor belt switch. Interact with it to change the direction of the conveyor belt.
  9. 9
Now, head down to the bottom of the stairs and hop on the conveyor belt. It'll take you east this time. From there, go up the nearby stairs, then north up the next set. You'll see another building. Head inside!
  10. 10
Inside, you'll find some Team Flare higher-ups arguing. The Admin will challenge you to a battle! They've got a Scraggy and a Houndoom.
  11. 11
After you beat the Admin, your rival will show up, and you'll team up to take on two more Team Flare Admins, Celosia and Bryony, in a Double Battle. They've got a Manectric and a Liepard.
  12. 12
With Team Flare defeated, the factory president will thank you for saving everyone and give you a choice between a Master Ball and a Big Nugget. Lucky for you, you get both!
  13. 13
Exit the factory using the now-cleared bridges. Your friends will meet you outside. After chatting, you'll get a Holo Clip about the attack. Now, it's time to head to Laverre City! Remember to heal up and stock up on items before heading out on the next route.
Tips
  • The first Grunt's Toxicroak is a Poison/Fighting type, making it extremely vulnerable to Psychic-type moves (4x damage!).
  • Metal Coat is a held item that evolves Onix into Steelix and Scyther into Scizor when traded.
  • Manectric can Mega Evolve into Mega Manectric if you have the Manectite, which can be found in Pokémon X.
  • Your rival's party composition will vary depending on which starter Pokémon you chose.
