Goal(s) of the Game: The ultimate goal of pokemon xy is to become the Champion of the Pokemon League by defeating the Elite Four and the current Champion. Along the way, you will also aim to complete the Kalos Pokedex by catching all 721 Pokemon.

Exploring Kalos: The Kalos region is vast and filled with diverse environments, from bustling cities to serene forests and treacherous caves. Exploration is key to discovering new Pokemon, items, and trainers. You'll traverse various routes, each with its own unique challenges and secrets. Pay attention to your surroundings, as hidden paths and items are often tucked away.

Collecting Pokemon: A core aspect of pokemon xy is collecting Pokemon. You can encounter and catch wild Pokemon in tall grass, caves, and on water. Different Pokemon appear in different locations and at different times of day. You can also obtain Pokemon through trading with other players or receiving them as gifts from NPCs. Building a diverse team is crucial for overcoming the various challenges the game presents.

Getting Around: Navigating the Kalos region is made easier with several methods. You can walk or run between locations. Certain Pokemon can be taught HMs (Hidden Machines) that allow you to traverse specific obstacles, such as surfing across water or cutting down trees. The Town Map on your Pokedex will be your primary tool for navigating, showing your current location and available routes.

Exploration TMs and HMs: Throughout your journey, you will find various TMs (Technical Machines) and HMs that teach your Pokemon useful moves. Some of these moves are essential for exploration, such as Cut (to clear small trees), Surf (to travel on water), Strength (to move boulders), and Fly (to quickly travel to previously visited cities). Make sure to teach these to appropriate Pokemon in your party to unlock new areas.
