Team Flare Secret HQ

After defeating the Team Flare Grunt, follow him to the Team Flare HQ. Your rival will appear to assist you.

Enter the HQ and interact with the switch to descend.

In the room with grunts, proceed upstairs to confront Lysandre.

Honchkrow (Level 47, Dark/Flying)

Pyroar (Level 49, Fire/Normal)

Gyarados (Level 51, Water/Flying)

After the battle, heal your Pokémon. Head west through the door to the lower levels. Your rival will join you.

Follow the path and engage in a double battle with a Team Flare Admin and a Team Flare Grunt.

• Admin: Toxicroak (Level 50, Poison/Fighting)

Grunt: Liepard (Level 48, Dark)

Your rival's Pokémon party depends on your starter:

• If Chespin was your starter: Meowstic (45, Psychic), Absol (45, Dark), Flareon (45, Fire), Delphox (49, Fire/Psychic)

If Fennekin was your starter: Meowstic (45, Psychic), Absol (45, Dark), Jolteon (45, Electric), Greninja (49, Water/Dark)

If Froakie was your starter: Meowstic (45, Psychic), Absol (45, Dark), Vaporeon (45, Water), Chesnaught (49, Grass/Fighting)

Continue onward to face another double battle with a Team Flare Admin and Grunt.

• Admin: Manectric (Level 50, Electric)

Grunt: Mightyena (Level 48, Dark)

Proceed further and Shauna will join you. Continue to the next pair of trainers for another double battle.

• Admin: Houndoom (Level 50, Dark/Fire)

Grunt: Scrafty (Level 48, Dark/Fighting)

Shauna will open the next door. You will face four Team Flare Admins one by one.

Manectric (Level 48, Electric)

Houndoom (Level 48, Dark/Fire)

After defeating the four Admins, approach the machine and press the switch. A cinematic will play, and the Legendary Pokémon will awaken.

To catch the Legendary Pokémon, use the Master Ball you received earlier. If you don't have a Master Ball, stock up on Ultra Balls, lower the Pokémon's HP significantly, and spam Poké Balls. If you accidentally defeat it, restart the game and try again.
