Head south down the stairs and use the Dowsing Machine to find a hidden Nest Ball.

Continue south-west, using the Dowsing Machine to find a hidden Star Piece.

Return to the entrance of the area and use your roller skates to go over the rail to the east. You'll find a Smooth Rock in the next area.
