Guide to barricading J's Bar in Resident Evil Outbreak. Learn to secure the entrance, collect essential items like the Handgun and Staff Room Key, and make critical decisions regarding Bob.
Walkthrough
- 1Upon entering J's Bar, zombies will begin attacking. Immediately run to the south side of the bar to find two barrels. Push these barrels in front of the door to temporarily hold off the zombies.
- 2After barricading, explore the bar to pick up items. A HANDGUN is on the south side. On the opposite side, find a FIRST AID SPRAY and a PESTICIDE SPRAY. On the west side, locate the STAFF ROOM KEY near the sink, and a BUTCHER KNIFE in the sink. Prioritize taking the HANDGUN and the STAFF ROOM KEY.
- 3Proceed to the blue door and open your menu (START). Select the STAFF ROOM KEY and use it to unlock the door. Do not enter yet.
- 4A sparkle on the ground directly behind you indicates the PLAYING MANUAL 1. Pick it up immediately to save time.
- 5Locate the two bathrooms. Inside the women's bathroom, find the SCRUB BRUSH. Inside the men's bathroom, find another HANDGUN and a GREEN HERB. An additional GREEN HERB can be found at the end of the hallway with the bathrooms.
- 6If you choose to help Bob, a security guard who is injured, walk beside him and press X to shoulder him.
- 7Lead Bob to the unlocked blue door. Press CIRCLE to release him, then press X to open the door. Proceed through the door.
Tips
- If visibility is poor, pause the game (SELECT) and increase the Brightness setting.
- If playing as Yoko, ensure you exit the Women's Bathroom.
- Kevin's handgun is powerful but has scarce ammo; it's still advisable to carry a regular HANDGUN.
- Be aware that a cutscene may trigger at any time, showing zombies breaking through the door, indicating a time limit.
- Bob's survival is tied to several checklist events for the level. Helping him is optional for a first playthrough but recommended for subsequent ones.
