First off, if you're on EASY, you'll find some Handgun Rounds on the north side of the room. Handy to have! No matter the difficulty, you'll find an Iron Pipe right by the door leading to the Entrance Hall. Always good to grab any melee weapon you can find. Now, for the herbs: a Blue Herb is chilling in the south-east corner on most difficulties. However, if you're playing on VERY HARD, it'll be swapped out for a Green Herb.
