All Types

  • L1: Hold to reload.

Game Difficulty

  • Easy: Abundant ammo and health items, weak enemies, partners survive easily.
  • Normal: Less ammo and health items than Easy, but still manageable.
  • Hard: More difficult enemies, scarce ammo and health items.
  • Very Hard: Same enemy difficulty as Hard, but with extremely scarce ammo and health items.
  • Lone Wolf: Played with no partners.
  • Infinity Mode: Infinite ammo, melee weapons, and usable items.

Electrocardiogram (Health Status)

  • FINE: Always Green, full health.
  • CAUTION (YELLOW): Slight damage, character leans slightly.
  • CAUTION (ORANGE): Low health, character holds side, cannot run quickly.
  • DANGER (RED): Near death, character holds side, moves slowly or crawls, virus meter expires quickly.
  • POISON (N/A): Poisoned, requires BLUE HERB or ANTIDOTE.
  • BLEED (N/A): Slowed movement due to bleeding, requires HEMOSTATIC or FIRST AID SPRAY.

Health-Replenishing Items

  • GREEN HERB: Slightly raises health.
  • BLUE HERB: Cures poison.
  • RED HERB: No effect on its own.
  • RED HERB + GREEN HERB: Heals 75% of health.
  • RED HERB + BLUE HERB: Acts as an ANTI VIRUS (L).
  • GREEN HERB + BLUE HERB: Slightly raises health and cures poison.
  • 2 GREEN HERBs + BLUE HERB: Heals 50% health and cures poison.
  • RED HERB + GREEN HERB + BLUE HERB: Heals to full, cures poison, and acts as an ANTI VIRUS.
  • FIRST AID SPRAY: Heals to full.

Note: In DANGER condition, using healing items will make the character stand up but disregard curing properties.

Medicine

  • RECOVERY MEDICINE: Effective as a GREEN HERB. Can be made by George.
  • RECOVERY MEDICINE (L): Effective as 4 GREEN HERBs. Can be made by George.
