Upon arriving at B3F Underground Tunnel, Hunter Gammas appear immediately in HARD/VERY HARD mode. In EASY/NORMAL mode, they appear shortly after.

Locate the pipeline on the ceiling. Stand by the edge and press the "Action" button to climb onto it.

Move towards the middle of the facility area along the pipeline. Your movement speed depends on your character.

In the middle area, find a pack of EXPLOSIVE GRENADE. There are no other items of interest here.

Use another pipeline to reach the other side of the room.

If playing as Kevin in EASY, NORMAL, or HARD mode, search the crates for .45 AUTO HANDGUN ROUNDS.

Head downwards from the main area to find two doors. A GREEN HERB is located in the lower area of this walkway, but it is not present in NORMAL mode.

Proceed past the two doors by the corner. In EASY/NORMAL mode only, search the crates for HANDGUN ROUNDS.

Reload your weapons and any other necessary items. Head upwards in this area and inspect the sparkling item.

As you approach the sparkling item, a FMV (Full Motion Video - a pre-rendered cutscene (a non-interactive cinematic the game plays automatically)) will play in EASY/NORMAL mode, introducing the Hunter Gamma, a monster from Biohazard 3: Last Escape/Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

Hunter Gammas can be defeated with well-placed HANDGUN ROUNDS.

Warning: If knocked into the water by a Hunter Gamma, quickly swim to the stairs and climb to the surface. You cannot attack while in the water.

Search the sparkling item to obtain the KEY WITH A RED TAG.

Head back down to the two doors at the corner. The right door leads to the UNDERGROUND TUNNEL. The front door leads to the RESTROOM, which is optional and contains some resources, but it is recommended to skip it for now.

Enter the right door to proceed into the UNDERGROUND TUNNEL.
