Part 12

At the start, look through the binoculars to find a Toad who will throw a Star Coin. Note its location for later.

Proceed down the hill, defeating Goombas. Grab a Super Mushroom from a white flower and defeat the Piranha Plant and Goombas. Hit the ? Blocks for coins, and the middle one contains a Tanooki Leaf.

Crouch and crawl under the wooden bar for coins, or use a Tail Spin as Tanooki Mario. Avoid or defeat the Venus Fire Trap and cardboard Goombas.

If you get a Super Star from a Roulette Block, defeat enemies on the left side. Otherwise, proceed past the cardboard Goombas, defeat the real Goomba and Piranha Plant. Defeat the Piranha Plant in the Warp Pipe, ideally with a Tail Spin.

Star Coin #1: Hop up the rubber platforms to your left and onto the high area above. Grab the Star Coin and other coins, then jump back down and enter the Warp Pipe.

Star Coin #2: Inside the bonus area (3D recommended), walk onto the Eye Button to reveal the Star Coin's true position. Hop onto the block north and below it. Move to the left corner block and wall jump off the wall behind the Star Coin's block to reach it. Grab the coin and exit the Warp Pipe.

Go up the stairs, defeat the Goomba, and move down the left side to the P-Switch. Grab the appearing rainbow notes for a 1-Up.

Crouch and crawl into the hole at the base of the next wall for a 1-Up and coins. Jump onto the elevated platform and then the higher platform to your right. Defeat the Tanooki Goombas, letting them land before stomping.

Star Coin #3: Move to the right. Instead of jumping over the edge, go to the left side of the stairs and down to the wall at the back. Move right to find a hidden gap under the stairs containing the Star Coin. Grab it and return the way you came.

Go up the stairs. Ride the first yellow platform to the top, then jump to the next one coming out of the wall on your left, and back down to the ground. Defeat the Tanooki Goomba (it drops a Tanooki Leaf on death).

Jump up the rubber platforms and enter the Warp Box. Move onto the ! Button and follow it across. Defeat the two Tanooki Goombas and kick the rock to your right.
