Part 54

Move north. Magikoopas will teleport; hit the P-Switch and move down the appearing chain platform. Dodge Magikoopa bolts and stomp them before they teleport.

Move past Dry Bones, stomping them if desired. Jump onto the next chain platform. Hit the ? Block for coins and quickly move out of the way of the incoming Magmaargh by jumping to the north-east platform. Jump from the right side of the north-east edge to avoid the Podoboo on the left.

Continue north. Stomp the Draglet, dodging its fireballs. Wait for the Podoboos to your right to fall back into the lava, then jump over.

Climb to the top of the pole and move to its right side. When the lava geyser subsides, jump across to the next pole.

Star Coin Alert! #1: Move to the south side of the pole and slide down to the bottom to collect a Star Coin. Climb back to the top of the pole and move to the north side. Jump onto the platform to your north, timing your jump to avoid the double Firebar.

Move north, jumping over the Firebar as needed. Jump onto the small ledge with brick blocks above it on the back wall; hit them for coins. Be cautious of Magikoopa attacks. Move right, jumping to the next ledge and onto the Switchboard.

Move right past the first Magmaargh. Wait for the second Magmaargh to pass, then move across and hit the Large ? Block for coins if you wish. Continue right, waiting for the third and fourth Magmaarghs if necessary, then jump onto the platform at the end.

Move around and hit the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag. Continue north and hit the P-Switch. This will cause a ring of coins to appear and the platform to move up. Grab the coins. At the top, jump off. Defeat the three Boomerang Bros. one at a time, focusing on dodging their boomerangs and stomping them. Be aware of returning boomerangs.

Star Coin Alert! #2: In the gap between the two platforms the back Boomerang Bro. was jumping between, a Star Coin is visible over lava. Walk off the left or right edge to grab the Star Coin. When you hit the wall, immediately wall jump off it and back up to the platform above. Do not press 'A' too early for the wall jump.

Go north and east. Look through the Binoculars at the end to survey the rest of the course and spot the final Star Coin. Cancel looking through and run left.

Move left to where two coins are. Grabbing them will cause an invisible platform to appear. Jump onto it, causing three more coins and two Magikoopas to appear. Stomp both Magikoopas before they can teleport after their first bolt. Move to the northern platform, causing two more Magikoopas to appear. Jump north again to make the final platform appear, along with a Warp Box. Hit it.

Move right. Jump off the right side of the platform and onto the first rolling ball, staying in the center to avoid the lava.

Star Coin Alert! #3: Jump to the third ball. The last Star Coin is north of you. You must be Boomerang Mario to get this; jump up and throw a boomerang at it.
