Part 44

In the underwater section, swim left into the tunnel. Wait for the Spike Eel to move left, then swim up to grab the Star Coin. If the Spike Eel moves back, wait for it or the eel above to move left before proceeding. Keep pressing 'A' to stay relatively still.

Follow the tunnel upwards. When the Spike Eel moves left, enter its tunnel to find a Green Clock. Grab it and exit the tunnel.

Continue upwards to find a tunnel in the back wall containing the third Star Coin and another Spike Eel. A current pulls you into the tunnel, but it's not strong enough to prevent you from exiting. Enter the tunnel, grab the Star Coin, and quickly exit before the Spike Eel catches you. If the Spike Eel reaches you before you get the coin, swim back out and wait for it to recede, then follow it in and swim back out after collecting the coin.

Move up the main tunnel and out of the water. Hit the closest crate for a Fire Flower. Stomp or use a fireball on the Piranha Plant in the Warp Pipe and enter it.

Outside, a second Piranha Plant is in the middle Warp Pipe. When it tries to bite, jump and stomp or use a fireball on it. Jump to the middle Warp Pipe. Entering it will send you to the right Warp Pipe, and entering the highest one sends you out the right one.

Jump to the second Warp Pipe, stomping the Piranha Plant when it attempts to bite to make it easier to reach. On the second Warp Pipe, jump to hit an invisible block containing a 1-Up. Grab the 1-Up, then jump to the last Warp Pipe.

Take a running jump onto the top of the Goal Pole for a 1-Up.

In World 7-2, jump past the four Pole 'n' Chains, dodging them. Lure the Chain Chomp out, then run underneath its anchor point and hit the ? Block for five coins. Be careful not to touch the Chain Chomp. Run down one side of the line of Pole 'n' Chains as they begin to move away from that side.

Lure the next Chain Chomp out and hit the ! Block above it three times before it returns. If you don't hit it three times quickly, move away, lure it out again, and continue hitting the block. You need to be fast for the Platform Blocks to appear and remain visible. Run up the Platform Blocks to grab the Star Coin at the top and jump back down.

Continue running along the path, jumping over Pole 'n' Chains. Grab the 1-Up and proceed to the other side, up the stairs, and through the door.

Hit the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag (a type of marker that saves your progress). When jumping on the blue and red panels with Spiked Poles, the panels act like seesaws. The Spiked Pole rolls towards the side with more weight. Move onto the panels.

Run along the first two panels on the blue side, then jump onto the red side of the third panel, jumping over the Spiked Pole. Move to the next panel, jump over the Spiked Pole, then onto the red side of the next panel and onto the Donut Blocks containing the Star Coin. Grab it and jump back onto the panels before the Donut Blocks fall. Continue across the panels, moving side to side and over Spiked Poles until you reach the end.

Move up the steps. Dodge Chain Chomps and hit the ? Block for a Fire Flower.

Move onto the platform with the swinging Pole 'n' Chain. Jump over it as it swings underneath you until the spikes on the spikeboard disappear. Jump onto the spikeboard and then up to grab the Star Coin above it.

Jump off the spikeboards before the spikes reappear and onto the platform with the Pole 'n' Chain swinging towards and away from you. Jump onto it when the pole is moving away to give yourself enough time to jump over it when it returns.
