Part 8

From the starting platform, jump down to the ground below. Defeat the Goomba and enter the Warp Pipe. Grab the +100 Time Green Clock and all the coins, including those in the top-right brick block. Go through the next warp pipe.

After the rotating platform, collect coins from the two Large ? Blocks and defeat the Goomba. Defeat the three-high Goomba Stack. Crouch and move between the brick blocks to collect extra coins, then jump to hit them.

Defeat the four-high Goomba Stack. Wait for them to move to you on the elevated platform if jumping on them. Continue to the Checkpoint Flag. Grab the coin on the right, which triggers a coin trail.

In the next area, jump into the coins on the left wall to reveal invisible ? Blocks. Jump just south of these blocks to find a Super Star. Grab it and run to defeat enemies for 1-Ups (3 Koopa Troopas, 4 Goombas, 1 Inky Piranha Plant recommended for 4 lives). You can repeat this by killing yourself near the checkpoint for infinite lives.

After the Super Star wears off, backtrack to the invisible ? Blocks. The small ? Block between the two larger ones contains a Fire Flower. The large ? Block on the right can be hit multiple times for coins. Continue to find the first Star Coin.

Star Coin #2: It's above two yellow moving platforms. Hop on the southern platform, wait until you are underneath the Star Coin's shadow, and jump.

Before the Ball 'n' Chains, grab the Blue Clock for +10 time. Slowly cross the wooden bridge with the 3 Ball 'n' Chains, stopping between them. To avoid Inky Piranha Plant ink, move quickly. If Fire Mario, shoot the unlit torch on the far right for a square of coins.

Star Coin #3: After crossing the wooden bridge, run to the back of the room and up the thin path with two Inky Piranha Plants. Defeat them and move left. The Star Coin is above the left plant.

Secret Exit: Go to the Warp Pipe leading to the final area. Instead of entering, jump onto it and then up to the platform above it on the wall. Move north, then west, jump over the gap, and grab the 1-Up at the end. Retrace your steps to the main platform. Run right to a room with an orange Warp Pipe; enter it to reach the beginning of World 2.

Alternative Secret Exit: Past the checkpoint, jump onto the small ? Block, then onto the hidden platform above the back wall. Collect the 1-Up and run right to bypass the rest of the level.

Enter the final Warp Pipe. Outside, jump onto the platforms. As they near the top, run forward and jump off the edge to reach the top of the Goal Pole.
