From the platform edge, jump south-east back down to the steps. Jump right to reach the top step before the Flip-Switch Panels (panels that flip when you jump).

If the blue panels are up, run onto them, avoiding Spiked Balls. If red panels are up, jump onto a blue panel, again watching for Spiked Balls.

Run right one panel, then jump north to the red panel. Watch for Spiked Balls and jump east to the blue panel.

Jump one panel north, then one panel east onto the next platform. Avoid the Spiked Balls rolling from east to west on the southern part of the platform.

Move north and walk/jump onto the red panel. Jump to the blue one, then jump north, falling onto the long red platforms below. Boos are located to your north-east, south-east, south-west, and north-west.

Run north, dodging the Boos. Do not jump to dodge them, as this will cause you to fall through the Flip-Switch Panels. The Star Coin is at the end, suspended in the air.

Star Coin Alert! #3: To get the Star Coin and land back on the red panel, you must perform two jumps. Jump onto the wall and wall jump off it, grabbing the Star Coin. This counts as two jumps, causing the red panels to disappear and reappear. Jump to either blue panel, then up onto the platform.

Alternatively, jump onto the platform above the Star Coin, drop down, grab the coin, and land on the red panels. Ensure the red panels are up when attempting this.

Jump north up the steps, avoiding giant Spiked Balls rolling down the center. Jump east up the steps and follow the path.

Stop before the four Spiked Balls are fired and wait. As they roll past, run down the center of the path.

Use your momentum to jump off the edge and onto the top of the Goal Pole for a 1-Up!

Move right, jumping over Pole 'n' Chains. Your Cosmic Clone (a delayed version of you) will start following.

When you reach a Chain Chomp, lure it into attacking if you want coins from the ? Block. After it attacks, run into its tethered spot and jump to hit the ? Block. Five coins will spill out. Grab them carefully, avoiding the Cosmic Clone.

Continue on, running down the line of Pole 'n' Chains, jumping as needed.

Star Coin Alert! #1: Hit the ! Block three times, moving slightly between jumps so the Cosmic Clone doesn't hit you when it catches up. Jump up the platform blocks that appear. Grab the Star Coin at the top and quickly jump over the Cosmic Clone, landing on the first platform block. Drop down the platform blocks and continue.

Follow the path, jumping over Pole 'n' Chains. Grab the 1-Up, being careful not to get hit by a pole.

Run up the stairs and enter the door. Hit the Checkpoint (an auto-save point you restart from on death) Flag (a flag that saves your progress) outside and move north.

Platforms ahead tilt on their fulcrum point. Standing on one side makes it tilt that way, causing Spiked Poles on the platforms to roll to the lower side.

Run along the platforms, jumping over the poles when they roll towards you.

Star Coin Alert! #2: You will see a Star Coin on two Donut Blocks ahead. Jump onto the blocks, grab the coin, and jump back down onto the platforms.

Continue running along the platforms until you reach the end.

Hop up the stairs and run right. Jump over the first Chain Chomp and hit the ? Block for a Fire Flower.

Grab the Fire Flower and continue. Jump over the Pole 'n' Chain on the slightly elevated platform. Wait for the spikes on the spikeboard to retract before jumping onto it, while dodging other hazards.
