Ending 3: The Magical Dreamers

Alright, so you're aiming for Ending 3, huh? This one's a bit of a tricky one, called "The Magical Dreamers." To snag it, you'll need to defeat the Time Devourer, but there's a specific window: Kid needs to have recovered from being poisoned, and you have to do it before you finish Fort Dragonia in Another World. It's a tight squeeze, but totally doable, especially if you're on a New Game Plus.

The biggest hurdle here is having both Nikki and Razzly in your party at the same time. If you didn't plan for it, don't sweat it too much. You can make a pretty quick run through Viper Manor and the Hydra Marshes on a New Game Plus. Once you've got the Hydra Humour and given it to Doc in Guldove, you're on the right track.

So, the key is recruiting Nikki and Razzly. Once they're both with you and Kid has recovered from her poisoning, head back to Opassa Beach. Use the Time Egg there to challenge the Time Devourer. If you're struggling with the fight, there are guides out there that can help, especially if you're trying to avoid using the Chrono Cross itself.

At this point in the game, you'll have a decent selection of characters. Even with just Nikki and Razzly, you should be okay, especially if you've been crafting those powerful rainbow weapons. Just a heads-up, Glenn won't be available to help you out for this specific fight.

If you mess up the fight with the Time Devourer, you'll trigger this ending. It kicks off with Lisa in her Element Shop, pretty much like Ending 4, but without her extra employee. The next scene shows Nikki and his band rocking out with some new recruits in Termina. It's a cool little moment, especially seeing a certain someone shredding on an instrument, but honestly, for the effort it takes to get this ending, it's a bit on the average side.
