004 A Favor for Nu Bi

Head to Goldpaw and find Nu Bi inside the weapon shop. He's feeling a bit useless and wants to prove his worth by having a monster defeated.

Nu Bi wants you to take down Magmanimus, a tainted monster. You'll find it south of Goldpaw, beyond Sunrise Shore. The enemies in this area are around level 20-23, so make sure your party is adequately leveled before heading out.

When you reach Magmanimus, note that it's a level 22 goo-type monster. If you've invested in your Tactics Tweaker, especially the Monster Affinities, slide it towards 'Sliminess' to deal extra damage.

Magmanimus's attacks are fast and can be tricky to anticipate. It can spit projectiles and its jumps create damaging landing zones. It also has a strong melee attack.

Warning: Once Magmanimus drops below 50% health, it will start creating clones. These clones share its moves and have their own health bars. Focus your attacks on the main Magmanimus (the one without a health bar above its head) to defeat it quickly.

After defeating Magmanimus, return to Nu Bi in Goldpaw to report your success. He'll then join your kingdom as a citizen.
