Follow this Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom walkthrough to find Hoi Den in Goldpaw and defeat Mortimer in Tightfit Cavern. Get your rewards!
Hey there! This quest, "Hang On, Hoi Den!", is a side quest you can pick up in Goldpaw. Hoi Den is hanging out west of the inn, and he's looking for the legendary "Golden Warrior" – which, surprise, is Evan! He's got a job for you: take down a monster named Mortimer over in Tightfit Cavern.
Where to Go:
Tightfit Cavern is located north of the Rubbly Ruins Trip Door. So, fast travel to Rubbly Ruins, then just head straight north. You can't miss the entrance!
The Boss: Mortimer
As soon as you step into Tightfit Cavern, you'll see Mortimer right in front of you. It's a Skeleplasm, and it's level 23. Keep an eye out for its attacks!
Mortimer's Attacks:
- Overhead Swings: Mortimer has a couple of overhead sword swings. One is stationary, and the other involves him charging at you before he swings.
- Two-Hit Combo: Like other Skeleplasms, it has a standard two-hit combo.
Strategy:
- Don't get too greedy with your attacks. Hit it a few times and then back off to avoid its combos.
- Since Mortimer is a Skeleplasm, you can use the Tactics Tweaker to set your Monster Affinities to "Sliminess." This might give you an edge.
Once you've defeated Mortimer, head back to Hoi Den in Goldpaw to report your success and claim your rewards!
