Walkthrough
- 1Follow the path and learn to use the in-game menu by pressing the Touchpad.
- 2Continue down the hallway and learn to lock on to enemies using the R3 button (click right stick), switching targets with the directional pad.
- 3Vanquish the three guards.
- 4Follow the path into an outside garden area and use shrubbery for cover to sneak past guards.
- 5Sneak past the first two guards.
- 6Time your movement to pass the single guard patrolling back and forth.
- 7Continue right past the third set of guards.
- 8Stop and wait for the grey-helmeted guard to turn around, then wait for the final red guard to turn his back before moving on.
- 9Proceed to the door to finish this segment.
- 10Press the Option button to open the map and find your next objective.
- 11Descend the stairs and enter the next room.
- 12Battle a group of guards, learning the blocking function.
- 13After the first wave, a sorceress will join the battle. Fight the guards while avoiding the sorceress's spells.
- 14A cutscene will trigger, introducing Aranella (Nella) as a new ally.
- 15Nella will deal with the sorceress, but two Skeleplasms will be summoned.
- 16Learn to evade by pressing L1 and a direction on the left stick to roll.
- 17Use evasion to avoid damage from the Skeleplasms.
- 18After the battle, Nella will reveal a hidden sewer entrance for escape.

- The majority of menu options are not available early in the game.
- Items and Quests sections in the menu are self-explanatory.
- The Library section allows you to view game stats, including game time.
- Your next objective is always shown on the map, making it difficult to get lost.
