Learn how to recruit Yo Ho-Ho in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom! This guide details crafting Gaudy Galoshes, Warlord's Armor, and finding a Prism Spear.

Alright, so you've stumbled upon a side quest in Ni no Kuni II called "The Goddess of Good Luck." It's actually about recruiting a character named Yo Ho-Ho, who hangs out in the casino in Goldpaw. She's a pretty important recruit, so let's get her to your kingdom!

Walkthrough
  1. 1
    Item 1: Gaudy Galoshes

First up, Yo Ho-Ho wants a pair of Gaudy Galoshes. You'll need to craft these back in your kingdom, Evermore. Make sure you've researched Level 5 Armor Development at the Outfitters. You'll need the following materials: Wild Leather (x2), Gold Nugget (x3), Citrine Huebloom (x3), and Enigma Prism (x1). If you don't have these, you can get Wild Leather from Hunting Lodge No. 4, Gold Nuggets and Enigma Prisms from Mining Camps No. 4 or 5, and Citrine Hueblooms from your Market Gardens (Medium, Minor, or Massive).

    Item 2: Warlord's Armor

Once you've made the galoshes and given them to Yo Ho-Ho, she'll ask for Warlord's Armor. Again, this is a crafting job for Evermore. This time, you'll need Level 6 Armor Development researched. The ingredients are: Somnium Nugget (x2), Knight’s Brocade (x2), Super-Cool Fur (x2), and Delicate Wing Bones (x2). You can get the Super-Cool Fur and Delicate Wing Bones from Hunting Lodge No. 4, Somnium Nuggets from Mining Camps No. 4 or 5, and Knight’s Brocade from the Wondrous or Bountiful Bazaars.

  3. 3
    Item 3: Prism Spear

After you hand over the Warlord's Armor, Yo Ho-Ho will request one final item: a Prism Spear. This one you can't craft, so you'll have to find it. Your best bet is to defeat a Charmigan (Level 59) in the Sunshade Shrine, located in the Drylands. Alternatively, you can get one as a reward for completing Sidequest 130, which is also a pretty useful item to have. If you're up for a bit of grinding, normal enemies in the Sunshade Shrine or Bleachbone Shrine (also in the Drylands) can drop Prism Spears.

Tips
  • Make sure your kingdom's facilities, like the Outfitters and Bazaars, are at a high enough level to produce the required materials and items.
  • The Charmigan in Sunshade Shrine is a Level 59 monster, so be prepared for a fight before heading there for the Prism Spear.
  • Sidequest 130 is a good alternative for the Prism Spear, and it might even give you a useful item that inflicts poison.
  • 6110 Exp
  • 4030G
  • Initiate’s Ring
  • Yo Ho-Ho joins your kingdom as a Citizen
