Walkthrough
  1. 1
Upon entering the Old Well, you'll find a Trip Door and a waystone. Head north, then east and north again. Go west for a chest containing 3000 guilders.
  2. 2
Return east and south to a dead end with a higgledy stone. Give it a Blossomwheat to recruit Bawbee the Bandit.
  3. 3
Double back and continue east, ignoring the northern path for now. Explore the small eastern room for a chest containing a Superior Sixth Censer.
  4. 4
Take the northern path, detouring into the circular room for a treasure chest with the Gloomy Sword of Sighs.
  5. 5
Venture west and then north into the room with a familiar statue. Exit to the south.
  6. 6
Check the western dead-end path for another chest containing All-Be-Gone.
  7. 7
Return to the room with the big cat statue and light the braziers to open the northern door.
  8. 8
Continue north to a split. Take the western path, then the southern path of the next split to find a treasure chest with Zappy Gaudy Galoshes.
  9. 9
To the east, you'll find another waystone. Check near the stairs for a hidden chest with 3 Tranquilium Nuggets. Heal and save.
  10. 10
Continue east to find another brazier. Ignore the first one for now and head south, opening the chest past the zig-zag path (Four-Leafed Soreaway).
  11. 11
Go east and take the first northern path to find a prop-leafed clover. Cast the spell on it and return south.
  12. 12
Keep going east to find the second brazier, but ignore it for now. The third brazier is north of the second, by the statue.
  13. 13
Light the brazier by the statue, run south to light the second one, then use the clover in the hallway to return to the first one. This opens the metal gate north of the first brazier.
  14. 14
Head north into the Downstream Tunnels. Continue straight north to the end, finding a higgledy stone to the east. Give it a Forked Tail Bone to recruit Dimity the Dastardly.
  15. 15
Head west to a north-south split. Take the southern path to find a chest at the end containing the Chilly Dreadstare Staff.
  16. 16
Follow the northern trail east, opening the chest in the room with enemies (5 Spectral Silks).
  17. 17
Continue east to a larger room with a waystone and more braziers. The first brazier is at the top of the stairs near the waystone (45-second timer).
  18. 18
Before lighting the first brazier, clear out enemies in the next room and open the chest in the northeast corner (Savior’s Tear).
  19. 19
Continue south into the Inspection Tunnel, going east to find the second brazier. The third brazier is south of the second, guarded by monsters. There's another chest in the same room as the third brazier (Sage’s Secret).
  20. 20
Explore southwest for two more rooms. The smaller one contains a puffer whelk. The larger room at the end has enemies and a chest (Vengeful Daredevil’s Armor).
  21. 21
Return to the braziers. Light them in the order 2-3-1. Use the puffer whelk to return to the waystone room (where the first brazier is) to light them all within the time limit.
  22. 22
This opens the gate next to the waystone. Save and follow the path to face the boss.

BOSS - Queen of the Dawn:

  • The Queen of the Dawn is a sylph-type monster that summons smaller sylphs at the start. Prioritize defeating the smaller ones to reduce projectiles and focus on the boss.
  • The Queen teleports frequently, requiring you to chase her.
  • Periodically, she summons more sylphs. Around half health, she moves to the center and summons streams of water or ground projectiles randomly.
  • She can also charge, similar to the smaller sylphs, creating pillars of energy along her path. Evade these attacks.
  • As her health gets lower, she will rise.
Tips
  • Monsters in the Old Well are in their upper 40s.
  • You will need to plan your path for lighting the braziers, as they have time limits.
  • The numbers on the braziers indicate how long they stay lit (e.g., 25 seconds).
  • Use prop-leafed clovers to cast spells on specific objects to aid in traversal or puzzle-solving.
  • A puffer whelk can transport you back to a specific location.
  • Bawbee the Bandit
  • Dimity the Dastardly
  • Various chests containing guilders, equipment, and crafting materials.
