Guide to completing the "A Man of Many Names" side quest in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Find all the musical NPCs and recruit Sin-Gul to your kingdom.

Hey there! This side quest, "A Man of Many Names," is a bit of a scavenger hunt. You'll be helping out a fellow named Sin-Gul, who's lost his full name. To help him out, you need to find a few NPCs scattered across the world who know a piece of his name. Don't worry, you don't *have* to talk to them, but it's a good way to get the info!

The quest is available in Capstan-upon-Hull, near the entrance. It's a postgame quest, so you'll need to have progressed pretty far in the story.

NPC Locations

You'll be looking for NPCs who are described as having a "musical name." Here's where you can find them:

  • Cloudcoil Canyon: Look for the Musical Sky Pirate near where the merchant used to be. Their name is Donwaribihapi.
  • Goldpaw: Find the Musical Man on the bridge just west of the inn. They're called Tstaykenamyt.
  • Hydropolis: In Kardia Square, you'll find a Musical Girl. She goes by Haoozbizniss.
  • Broadleaf: Head north of Dome Park to find a Musical Old Fellow. His name is Sbinawile.
  • Ding Dong Dell: Right before the path leading to the Old Well, there's a Musical Lady. She's known as Watsamata.

Again, you can skip talking to these folks if you're in a hurry, but they'll give you the clues you need.

Completing the Quest

Once you've gathered the information (either by talking to the NPCs or just knowing where they are), head back to Sin-Gul in Capstan-upon-Hull. You'll need to correctly tell him his full name based on the clues you found. If you get it right, Sin-Gul will join your kingdom as a citizen!
