The Horned One has a lot of health and multiple attacks. His initial attacks include slamming a fist into the ground, causing an explosion, and creating two shadow arms that attack in front. He can also summon four orbs that home in on your characters.

When Lofty creates a circle on the ground, hold down the X button to fill a meter that grants a free awakening, increasing your damage.

The second phase begins after a close-up of the beast. The Horned One will use the powers of other Kingmakers: Longfang causes exploding boulders, Brineskimmer shoots ice lasers, Bastion summons lightning, and Oakenhart shoots vines across the ground.

The Horned One can shield his health, indicated by a purple health bar. Attack normally to deplete this shield and return his health to normal.

He will also teleport to the edge of the arena and shoot a giant laser. Bait this laser to one side and move to the other to avoid it.

When his barrier health is depleted, the boss is stunned and shadowy crystal-like things pop out. Destroy these crystals before they shoot lasers at you. One appears the first time, three appear the second time.

A ball of energy will randomly spawn and explode after a few seconds; always keep an eye out for it.

Once his health is depleted, he will put up a sturdier barrier. Use Lofty's mechanic again to fill the bar and grant a permanent awakening.

The Horned One does not gain new attacks in this final phase but can fire multiple lasers in succession.

Upon depleting his health bar in the final phase, a small thing will pop out of the boss. Hit this to end the battle.
