016 Wanted: A Well-Good Weapon

Alright, so you're looking to tackle side quest 016, huh? It's called "Wanted: A Well-Good Weapon," and it's all about crafting a specific bow. To even start this one, you'll need to be a bit into Chapter 4, specifically when you're on the "Night at the Library" quest. Plus, you've gotta have wrapped up side quests 012 ("Fai Do, the Downbeat Armorer") and 004 ("A Favor for Nu Bi").

Once all that's done, just head back into Evermore town. You'll find Nu Bi waiting with a request for you. He wants you to whip up a Hybrid Bow, and here's the kicker: it needs to have a grade of at least five. You know that little number in the bottom left of the equipment stats screen? That's the grade!

To even get started on making the Hybrid Bow, you'll need to research Level 1 Ranged Weapon Development at your Weapon Workshop. The materials you'll need for the bow itself are 2 Lumpen Lumbers, 2 High Tide Shells, and 1 Fledgling Feather. Get those together, and you can craft the base bow.

Now, the Hybrid Bow usually starts with a grade of two. To bump that up, you'll need to use catalysts. Each catalyst you add will increase the weapon's grade by one. For the Hybrid Bow, the catalyst you need is Solid Lumber. You can snag these from Swift Solutions or by upgrading your Budding Lumberyard to Level 2. Just add three Solid Lumbers to your Hybrid Bow, and you'll hit that target grade of five. Once it's done, head back to Nu Bi, show him your handiwork, and you'll complete the quest!
