015 Wanted: Exemplary Armor

Alright, so you're looking to snag some seriously good armor, huh? This quest, 'Wanted: Exemplary Armor,' is all about crafting a piece that meets a certain quality standard. To even start this one, you'll need to be a bit into Chapter 4, specifically after you've tackled the 'Night at the Library' main story quest. Plus, make sure you've already finished up side quests 012 'Fai Do, the Downbeat Armorer' and 004 'A Favor for Nu Bi'. Got all that checked off? Great! Head back to Evermore, and Fai Do will have a new job for you.

Fai Do's request is pretty straightforward: craft an Iron Armor with a grade of at least five. You know how equipment has that little number in the bottom left corner of its stats screen? That's the grade we're talking about. To get started on making Iron Armor, you'll first need to research 'Level 1 Armor Development' over at the Outfitters. Once that's done, you'll need the following materials: 2 Iron Nuggets, 3 Shabby Leathers, and 2 Simple Strings.

Now, here's the kicker: a freshly crafted Iron Armor usually starts with a grade of two. To bump that up, you'll need to use catalysts during the crafting process. For Iron Armor, the catalyst you'll need is Copper Nuggets. You should have a decent stash of these lying around. Just add three Copper Nuggets to the Iron Armor recipe, and you'll push its grade up to five. Once you've successfully crafted your Grade 5 Iron Armor, head back to Fai Do in town. Show him your handiwork, and you'll wrap up this quest!
