Master the RED HEXES (10) challenges in Resonance of Fate! Get expert tips and strategies for Level 5 and Level 7 battles, including enemy weaknesses and optimal gear.

Alright, let's break down these RED HEXES challenges. They're basically special encounters that pop up, and this guide covers two of them: one in Level 5 and another in Level 7.

RED HEXES (Level 5)

This one's tucked away behind the Forest of Idols. You're going to face a couple of tough leaders: a Mask Raider at Lv 37 and a Tar Armor at Lv 79. They've also brought along two Mask Raider MGs at Lv 30. The Tar Armor is the big threat here, so I highly recommend using HP Sub-Zero Rounds+ on it. If you time it right, you can wipe out all its scratch damage in a single turn. That'll make it much easier to deal with before it can set everyone on fire.

As for protection, the Mask Raiders love to toss electrical grenades, so wearing gear with Heat protection and Bolt Padding will really help you out. Getting slowed down by electricity is a major pain, so avoid it if you can. There aren't any bunkers to hide in here, but the area's open enough that you can maneuver around once you've dealt with that giant tar monster. Keep an eye on the leaders, especially the Tar Armor – it has four gauges to break, and some of the other enemies might have them too.

  • Location: Level 5, behind the Forest of Idols
  • Reward: [BEZEL SHARD]
  • Enemies: Leader: Mask Raider Lv 37, Leader: Tar Armor Lv 79, Mask Raider MG Lv 30 x2

RED HEXES (Level 7)

Next up is the Level 7 encounter, found near Cranktown. This is a Deserted Block battleground, and it's a bit more crowded. You'll be up against three Mask Raider MGs at Lv 37, plus a Junk Mimic (Lv 20), a Dweller (Lv 4), a Pistol Dweller (Lv 6), a Prop Dweller (Lv 17), and a Wrecking Baller (Lv 29). The three leaders are hiding behind a central box platform, with the other enemies spread out to the sides.

If you're just looking for a quick win, focus fire on those three leaders. They can hit pretty hard and, you guessed it, they use those annoying electrical grenades. However, if you're aiming to clear out everyone, it's best to take down at least two of the leaders quickly before you start worrying about the weaker enemies. Be warned: all the weaker enemies have shells, meaning they'll take more hits to put down. There's a mine in the area you can detonate with a Handgun shot – it might just blow off some of their body parts, making them easier to deal with. Using a Handgun for everything here is a viable strategy if you're patient.

  • Location: Level 7, near Cranktown
  • Reward: [PERFECT AID]
  • Enemies: Leader: Mask Raider MG Lv37 x3, Junk Mimic Lv 20 x 1, Dweller Lv 4 x1, Pistol Dweller Lv 6 x1, Prop Dweller Lv 17 x1, Wrecking Baller Lv 29 x1
