Walkthrough
- 1Head to the western end of the Terminal building and go upstairs to find Cpl. Walter Hornsby.
- 2Talk to Hornsby, then find Lt. Carrie Boyd in the room to the north.
- 3Ask Boyd if she needs help. If your reputation is 'Accepted' or better, she will tell you about the prisoner, Silus.
- 4Boyd will introduce you to Silus. After their verbal exchange, Boyd will allow you to interrogate Silus, stripping you of your weapons (except holdout weapons).
- 5NCR Path:
- Attack Silus, but don't do too much damage. Boyd will intervene and threaten Silus.
- 6Re-enter the room and use the [Attack] option in dialogue again. Silus will start talking.
- 7Pass three hidden [Speech] checks (Speech 50 recommended) to anger Silus.
- 8After Boyd taunts Silus, pass either [Speech] check to make him babble.
- 9Alternatively, pass an [Intelligence 8] check to claim you are a Legion agent sent to kill Silus. Pass another [Intelligence 8] check to prove you are not a savage, then two more [Intelligence] checks. Say "So in addition to treason, you’re also a deserter" to make him cry for Boyd.
- 10After Silus tattles, Boyd will dismiss his accusations. You can continue to use [Intelligence] checks to get him to reveal information.
- 11Silus reveals that Caesar has a spy in McCarran (though he doesn't know who) and that Caesar is sick.
- 12Talk to Boyd for your reward.
- 13Caesar's Legion Path:
- If your Legion reputation is higher than 'Neutral' (Accepted, Liked, or Idolized), state "I’m a friend of the Legion. I’m here to help."
- 14Silus will lay out a plan. Rough him up a little.
- 15When Boyd enters and breaks up the fight, leave the room and loot a locker to the west to find a Silenced .22 Pistol.
- 16Wait for Boyd to finish taunting Silus, then re-enter the room and give Silus the pistol.
- 17Silus will play dead. Boyd will fall for the ploy.
- 18After Boyd leaves, Cpl. Walter Hornsby will enter. Silus will escape after you leave the room.
- 19I Put a Spell On You (NCR):
- Head downstairs and through the door west of the stairs to the south to find Cpt. Ronald Curtis.
- 20Tell him about your mission. He suggests talking to Boyd and Contreras.
- 21Talk to Boyd about recent break-ins and someone sneaking into the control tower with a high-level access code.
- 22Ask Boyd for her code to the tower. She mentions old communications equipment.
- 23Ask Boyd about missing people, specifically Corporal White, and agree to look for him to start the quest 'The White Wash'.
- 24Return to the ground floor and head south through the Garage Doors to the airfield.
- 25Find the Control Tower and a nearby Terminal [Very Easy]. Logged activity shows entries/exits around midnight.
- 26Move away from the tower door, sneak, and rest until midnight.
- 27When you wake up, someone will enter the building. Follow them inside.
- 28Listen to the traitor giving away intel and plotting sabotage.
- 29Confront the traitor, who will then attack. Kill them and loot their body for an Activate Code.
- 30Return to the Terminal Building and go up the stairs.
Tips
- For the NCR path, a Speech skill of 50 is recommended for the [Speech] checks.
- For the [Intelligence 8] checks, consider using a Mentat if your Intelligence is lower.
- Holdout weapons are not affected by the weapon stripping in Silus's interrogation room.
- If pursuing the Legion path, remember to loot the locker for the Silenced .22 Pistol.
- For beating intel out of Silus: 250 XP, 175 Caps, NCR Fame.
