Explore western New Vegas in fallout new vegas: find loot at The Basincreek Building, West Pump Station, New Vegas Steel, Monte Carlo Suites, and Westside.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
From the Allied Technology Offices, head north to find a road running east-west. Follow this road west to discover The Basincreek Building. Inside, you can find Giant Ants and Radroaches. A locked door [Easy] on the western end leads to an office containing an issue of Tales of Chivalrie.
  2. 2
Continue north-west into Fiend territory to reach the West Pump Station. Inside, you'll find more Fiends and a Pump Station Terminal. Repairing this terminal with a [Science 50] check grants XP and can start the quest _Hard Luck Blues_ if not already completed. Loot the maintenance room to the south for an Ammo Box.
  3. 3
Keep heading north-west to find New Vegas Steel, located across the depressed highway and near the South Vegas Ruins East Entrance. Inside, you'll encounter Crazed Mr. Handy robots and Mr. Steel variants. In the entry room, find a Patriot's Cookbook and a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap on a desk. Another Terminal offers a "Lucky 38 Executive Override" option. In bins near the desk, find issues of Tæles of Chivalrie, Fixin’ Things, and Programmer’s Digest. Ascend the metal stairs on the factory floor to find two Ammo Boxes on a metal balcony.
  4. 4
Head north from the Sunset Sarsaparilla Headquarters building to find the Monte Carlo Suites. Defeat the Scorpion Gang Member outside and the gangers inside, including Yvette, who carries a .44 Magnum Revolver worth over 2,000 Caps, and another wielding a Ripper. Loot their stronghold for items in Refrigerators. A room to the west contains an Ammo Box [Average] on a metal shelf, a Work Bench, and two Reloading Benches. A locked door [Easy] to the south leads to rooms with beds. A room to the east contains Jet and 10mm Rounds.
  5. 5
West of the suites, find an unmarked Abandoned House. Disarm the proximity mine on the mailbox outside or trigger it and run. The house contains some Fiends, but the loot is not exceptional.
  6. 6
Proceed to Westside. In Klamath Bob’s Liquor Store, Klamath Bob sells various items and mentions a tribal from Arroyo. He also discusses Westside's co-op, Mean Sonofabitch, and the Fiend and Scorpion threats. Mean Sonofabitch, a Super Mutant, can be found wandering the town. At the Westside Co-op, Clayton Etienne discusses the co-op and New Reno's troubles; the shop can be looted for food items, and a safe [Average] is behind the counter.
  7. 7
To start _The Coyote_ quest, go to the Casa Madrid Apartments on Westside's western edge and head south to find Dermot and Saint James. Speak to Saint James about the missing persons and point out a conversational slip-up.
  8. 8
Go to the nearby Casa Madrid Apartments. Speak to Marco outside, who reveals the establishment is a brothel. Inside, speak to Pretty Sarah to learn about available services. Upstairs, Maude costs 75 Caps (male only), Jimmy costs 200 Caps (male only), and Sweetie costs 300 Caps. Speak to Sweetie about Saint James; pay her 200 Caps (or 100 Caps with a [Barter 30] check) to learn about his behavior. You can also pay her 250 Caps for the key to his room. Loot the apartments for chems, magazines, and food.
