    Southern Nevada Wind Farm: Located southeast of HELIOS One. Beware of Cazadores, dangerous winged creatures. Snipe them from a distance. Inside the Wind Farm Maintenance Shack, find Scrap Metal, Conductors, Turpentine, a copy of Dean’s Electronics, three Bottle Caps (one is a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap).

    El Dorado Gas & Service: Head north from the Wind Farm. Loot Garbage Cans and Bedrolls outside. Inside, find food, a Gun Cabinet, a Sunset Sarsaparilla Crate, a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap, three Sacks, and two Ammo Boxes.

    Cazador Nest: Northeast of El Dorado Gas & Service. This shallow cave is a lair for Young and full-grown Cazadores. Use high ground to snipe them. Loot includes an Adventurer’s Pack, an Explosives Crate, and a .44 Magnum Revolver near a skeleton.

    Ranger Station Delta: East of the Cazador Nest, near the Colorado River. Currently a conflict zone between NCR and Caesar’s Legion. Comm Officer Scheffer is here. Inside her tent: a Gun Case [Average] and an Ammo Box. In the ruined house’s cellar: a First Aid Box, a Machete, Crates, a Gun Cabinet [Average], a First Aid Box [Easy], and an Ammo Box [Easy].

    El Dorado Dry Lake: Northwest of El Dorado Gas & Service. Swarming with Fire Ants. These ants breathe fire but are less dangerous than their Fallout 3 counterparts. Sneak and snipe them. Little else of interest here.

    Black Rock Cavern: Southwest of El Dorado Dry Lake. Find Nightkin here. Dispatch them and find the body of a dead Prospector in the northeastern end to get the Paladin Toaster.

    El Dorado Substation/Vault 11: Follow cliffs north-northeast from Black Rock Cavern. This fenced area has locked gates and is patrolled by NCR Troopers who warn you to stay out. Entering the enclosure and Power Substation will make the NCR Troopers hostile.
Tips
  • Cazadores are best dealt with by sniping from a distance due to their speed, damage, and poison. Use high ground.
  • Young Cazadores at the Wind Farm are good practice for the more dangerous adult versions.
  • Ratslayer is recommended for sniping Cazadores and Fire Ants.
  • When approaching the Cazador Nest, circling around to the north provides access to ledges that are difficult for Cazadores to reach.
  • Fire Ants at El Dorado Dry Lake are less dangerous than Cazadores but still require caution.
  • Be aware that Ranger Station Delta is a conflict zone and may be best avoided until later in the game.
  • Lockpicking skills are useful for accessing loot in Gun Cabinets and cellars at Ranger Station Delta.
