Follow this guide to investigate the 'Doesn't Add Up' quest in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Find muster sites, scan shuttle burn marks, and track down missing colonists.

Alright, so you've finished up the quest 'Task: Naming the Dead,' and now you've got a new lead. Head back to Prodromos and have a chat with the Majordomo. You'll need to exhaust all his dialogue options. He's noticed a weird discrepancy between the number of colonists you reported dead and the actual numbers, so he's asking you to look into it. This kicks off the 'Doesn't Add Up' quest.

Walkthrough
  1. 1
First things first, fast-travel back to Site 1 and make sure 'Doesn't Add Up' is your active quest. You'll need to search four different 'muster sites.' The first one is southwest of Site 1, up the big hill that leads to the first monolith. Head there and look for a beacon. You'll need to scan a 'Shuttle burn mark' on the ground. It's not super obvious, so just aim for the black scorch marks and scan.
  2. 2
The second muster site is southeast of the Site 1 Forward Station, up on the hill where you found Lito's Datapad. Scan the 'Shuttle burn mark' here too.
  3. 3
Next, head over to Site 2. From there, continue southwest until you find another muster site near the lake. Do your scanning thing, and SAM will probably chime in about needing more data.
  4. 4
After that, return to Site 2 and head east into the desert. You'll find the fourth and final muster point. Warning: If you haven't advanced 'A Trail of Hope' yet, this spot might be in a level 3 radiation hazard. You *can* technically scan it by driving close with the Nomad, hopping out, scanning quickly, and then diving back into the Nomad for cover. However, it's probably easier to just wait a bit until the radiation clears.
  5. 5
Once you scan the 'Shuttle burn mark' at this last spot, SAM should finally have enough information to figure out where those shuttles might have ended up.
  6. 6
Now, head back to the Tempest and set a course for the Eriksson system. Once you arrive, you'll be able to scan for a new anomaly: an 'Eezo-Distorted Kett Wreckage.' Make sure to plunder it for some salvage.
  7. 7
After that, scan the system again. You're looking for a 'Drifting Initiative Shuttle.' Visiting this shuttle will complete the quest. You'll get some XP and 29 AVP for your trouble, and you can grab some extra salvage from the shuttle itself.
Tips
  • Don't worry if the shuttle burn marks don't highlight clearly; just aim for the scorched ground.
  • If you encounter radiation, it's often better to wait for it to dissipate unless you're in a real hurry.

  • 29 AVP
