    After finishing “Remove the Heart,” travel to the northern-most of the three Forward Stations on the eastern end of Voeld. Drive southwest to reach the northwestern edge of Ja Niihk.

    Descend into the trench and follow the path, moving from healing rod to heating rod. Leap across a crevasse to the east, then another to the northeast.

    Continue east and dispatch the Kett (Anointed and Wraith).

    Proceed east, then southeast, dropping down ledges until you reach a doorway. Defeat the Anointed and Wraith inside.

    Head southwest, then southeast through another doorway. At a fork, continue east/southeast as the other path leads to a dead end.

    Go through another doorway and continue southeast to a chamber overlooking a large Kett encampment. Drop down and defeat the Kett (Chosen).

    Head southeast from the chamber, then east/northeast to a fork. Turn southeast to find a chamber with more Kett. Slaughter them.

    Turn east/southeast to find a captive Angaran. Deactivate the console to free them.

    Head northeast, then northwest, defeating the Kett (Chosen led by an Anointed) and finding two more captive Angara. Free them.

    Talk to the freed Angaran captive.

    Venture northwest, then northeast to find Kett explosives.

    Ascend a hill to the west/northwest and follow the tunnels to a doorway. Head inside and find an Angaran Artifact behind Kett crates on the western end of the room. Scan and collect it.

    Return to the explosives, scan the “Frozen Water,” and retreat southwest so the ice can be blasted away.

    Proceed through the cleared tunnel to a large chamber with an ancient Angaran AI.

    Confront the AI. You will be presented with a choice regarding the AI and the Angaran captives. Make your decision.

    If you chose to apprehend the AI at the cost of an Angaran's life, you will have another choice: turn the AI over to the Angara or allow SAM to be its custodian.

    After making your choices, the quest will end.

  • The quest begins automatically after completing “Remove the Heart.”
  • Before starting, ensure you have completed “Remove the Heart” to access Ja Niihk.
