The Lost Scout

You'll start this quest by finding an Angaran woman named Haana. She's in the warehouse near the outdoor hangar of the Resistance Base, specifically in the northwestern corner. She's arguing with her companion, Raabar, and is convinced her friend Mashal is still alive. Mashal was last seen at a Kett weapon’s depot, which she destroyed. Haana’s people are too busy, and don't think Mashal survived, but you're free to go look for her.

The Kett weapon’s depot is located southeast of the Resistance Base, or southwest of Hjara Station. Head there and look for the still-burning remains of the shattered depot on the slopes of some snowy cliffs. You'll need to scan the ruins of a Kett Drill near a piston that’s futilely pumping.

After scanning the drill, head south up the cliffs to find an entrance to the ruined weapons depot.

Once inside, go south and you'll notice a door to the west. You'll hear Mashal talking from beyond it, but the door is sealed. Scan a conduit on the ground nearby.

Follow the conduit south through a door, then head east towards some rubble. You'll need to smash this rubble using your powers, weapon fire, or melee attacks to clear the path.

Continue following the conduit until you reach a console. Activate this console to open the door where you heard Mashal. Before you head back, you might want to loot two Iridium nodes, but leave the malfunctioning Kett devices alone; they're not worth your time.

Open the door Mashal is hiding behind. You'll find her… well, she's doing something questionable to a Kett. At this point, you have a choice: you can either put an end to her activities with a bullet, or let her continue.

Regardless of your choice, return to Haana and give her an update on Mashal's situation. This will complete the quest and earn you 270 XP.
