Brought to Light

Guide to completing the 'Brought to Light' quest in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Learn where to find Rjoek, fight Kett, and deliver the map.

Alright, let's tackle the 'Brought to Light' quest in Mass Effect: Andromeda. You'll start by heading to Techiix Station, which is south of the Forward Station. Keep an eye out behind a canvas-covered vehicle – that's where you'll find an Angara named Rjoek. Chat with him, and he'll spin a tale about some lost Angaran artifacts and his assistants who are now in a jam.

From the middle of the three Forward Stations on the eastern side of the map, head south. You'll be guided to a navpoint that likely marks the location of a sacked Angaran settlement. Enter the cavern ruins and make your way south until you stumble upon a chamber. Here, you'll find some Turians fighting off Kett Chosen. Take care of these initial enemies, and then brace yourself for a second, larger wave of Kett Chosen that will attack from the west. Once you've cleared them all out, find Astra, one of the Turians. She'll let you know that Rjoek wasn't entirely truthful with you.

After your chat with Astra, you'll have an optional objective to confront Rjoek about his deception. However, your main goal is to head back to the Resistance Base on the western edge of the Voeld map and hand over the map to Intelligence Officer Kaas. Before you do that, though, you might want to explore the ruined houses nearby – Astra might not have been able to bring herself to do it, but you can loot them. Also, if you have the 'Medical Caches' quest active, this is a good time to replenish the second Medical Cache.

If you decide you can't let Rjoek's dishonesty slide, head back to Techiix Station to confront him. He'll try to play down his actions. You can either tell him to 'Just get out of here,' or if Jaal is with you, you can say 'Jaal?' to have your Angaran companion help steer Rjoek towards more productive endeavors.

Whether you confront Rjoek or not, when you're ready to wrap up this quest, make your way back to the Resistance Base on the western edge of Voeld. Head into the command center and present the map to Intelligence Officer Kaas. This will finally bring the 'Brought to Light' quest to a close.
