Trading Favors

Follow our guide to complete the 'Trading Favors' quest in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Find Sohkaa's missing supplier on Voeld, battle Kett, and secure valuable loot.

Alright, so you're looking to get into some trading in Mass Effect: Andromeda, huh? You'll want to start by heading to the docks on Aya. There, you'll meet an Angara named Sohkaa Esof. He's got a bit of a problem – one of his suppliers has gone silent, and he needs someone to check in on them. Naturally, he figures you're the perfect candidate for the job, likely because you're cheaper than coercion. Agree to help him out, and you'll kick off the quest called “Trading Favors.”

Even though this quest kicks off on Aya, your main destination for finding out what happened is actually Voeld. So, make your way over there. Once you land on Voeld, you'll want to head towards the navpoint. It's located east of Hjara Station, and if you've done the quest “Stage a Rescue,” you might have even passed by this spot before. Keep an eye out for a Forward Station nearby; the quest marker should be southwest of it.

When you reach the area, you'll find a small camp. Your first task here is to investigate. You'll need to scan the Angaran corpse you find. Jaal will recognize him as one of Sohkaa's suppliers. After that, scan the crates lying around near the body to find the missing supplies. Finally, scan the ground just south of the vehicle – you'll find some burn residue that looks suspiciously like Kett weaponry. As soon as you finish that last scan, brace yourself, because the Kett are going to ambush you!

This is where things can get a little hairy, so don't be afraid to use your Nomad for cover. The Kett tend to spread out, so a sniper rifle can be super useful for picking off the weaker ones from a distance. Use the Nomad as your shield and take them down one by one. Once the dust settles and all the Kett are dealt with, head back to the supplies you scanned earlier and grab them. You might even find a Rare item in the shipment, like the Angaran Ranger Armor!

With the shipment secured, your next step is to return to Sohkaa on Aya. Hand over the weapons you recovered, and he'll become a new trader you can access. He mainly deals in resources, with Titanium being a particularly valuable one, but he also stocks a variety of consumables. Completing this quest will net you 530 XP, so it's definitely worth your time.
