Once you accept the task, you'll need to travel back to Eos. When you land, fast travel to Site 1's Forward Station.

From there, hop into your Nomad. You'll want to head west, then swing south, making sure you go out of the area where the settlement failed. Keep going past the water treatment rings.

Your next move is to head up a steep slope to the northwest. Once you're at the top of this slope, you can either drive or walk. Head towards the northeast, then turn east.

Follow the edge of the cliffs that surround Site 1. Keep going until you find the specific spot that the game indicates for you to place the pendant.
