Learn how to defeat Anne in Bravely Second's Throne Room. This guide covers Anne's weaknesses, strategies, and how to handle her illusions and buffs.

Stats / Weaknesses:

  • Level: 47
  • HP: 50000
  • Weakness: Fire, Bug

Phases:

  1. Anne uses Dark Flare for party magic damage or Pointy End for single-target physical damage.
  2. She might use You Sicken Me, damaging the party and potentially poisoning them, before becoming immobile for a turn. This is a great time to attack!
  3. Anne's signature move is Now You See Me, where she creates five fake copies of herself. Attacking a fake triggers I’m Over Here, which damages the attacker.
  4. To find the real Anne, use Examine or a Magnifying Glass on any of the copies, then press Left on the Circle Pad to check enemy stats. If you scan a fake, you'll get info for all fakes, not the real one. Scanning the real Anne gives you her specific stats. Hitting the real Anne makes all fakes disappear.
  5. Anne can also use Superbia, which removes your buffs and significantly boosts her own offensive and defensive stats. This makes You Sicken Me much more dangerous.
  6. To counter Superbia, you can use the Exorcist's Purgation to remove her buffs, cast Physical Ward Mist, or use the Exorcist's Undo Action or Ninja's Utsusemi to completely evade her attacks.
  7. After Superbia, the real Anne is easier to spot because she's the only one who receives the buffs.

Strategy:

  • Fire-based and physical attacks are your best bet. Equip the Flametongue or Flare Hatchets for innate fire damage, or infuse a weapon with Hawkeye's Firehead.
  • The best time to deal damage is when Anne becomes immobile after using You Sicken Me.
  • If Anne uses Superbia, focus on removing her buffs with Purgation or preparing to evade her enhanced attacks with Undo Action or Utsusemi.
  • Be patient when dealing with her illusions; carefully identify the real Anne before committing to attacks.

The Aftermath:

Once Anne is defeated, you can use a Teleport Stone to leave the Throne Room. You'll find yourself outside the Skyhold, near the Rubadub. Hop in and fly it to any land-based area on the world map to continue your journey.
