Alright, so you're looking to tackle the 'Trail of the Dead' favor in God of War Ragnarök? It's a pretty cool one that kicks off right after you finish the 'Return of the River' favor in Vanaheim's Jungle. As you're heading back and taking that lift down, keep an eye out – you'll see some wildlife, and then BAM! A dragon swoops in and snatches one. That's your cue that this favor has officially started.

First things first, hop into the boat waiting for you right there. You're going to want to sail east. Don't worry about that little shore near the Celestial Altar just yet, we'll get there. Keep heading east until you pass through a narrower section. You'll know you're in the right place when you see a dock and, up the hill, a crack in the wall you can squeeze through. This leads to that Ogre who was tossing boulders at you when you first entered The Jungle.

Dock your boat here and head up to face the Ogre. Now, here's the catch: there are actually TWO Ogres, and each one has a buff-happy Nokken with it. Your priority? Chase down those Nokken first and take them out. Once they're dealt with, you can focus on defeating the two Ogres. Just when you think you're done, the dragon shows up and steals the kill of the second Ogre. Annoying, right?

With that little dragon interruption out of the way, head back to your boat and dock at that other beach we passed earlier. When you get off, you'll have two Wulvers and another Nokken to deal with. Now, make your way to the Celestial Altar. Look for a climbable wall to its side. Head up that wall, then drop down and follow the path to a grapple point. Keep grappling from point to point until you can climb up a ledge near some vines.

Once you're up there, you'll need to use the Sigils on the ceiling to create a path to burn those vines. After that, use the grapple points to swing across to the other side. You'll find a Legendary Chest waiting for you. Loot it, then continue around the corner to a climbable wall at the end. Quick heads-up: if you didn't defeat those Ogres earlier, you won't be able to climb this wall. This path leads you up to an arena where you'll face the dragon, The Corpse Eater.

Boss Fight: The Corpse Eater

This dragon, The Corpse Eater, is all about ice attacks. Your main goal is to avoid getting afflicted with Frost, so dodge those icy assaults as much as possible. It has an unblockable charging attack and an ice beam. Like other dragons, it will fly, but this one can also ascend and smash down, creating a shockwave. If it tries that grab-and-swoop move, throw a spear at it to force it to crash.

When you're up close, watch out for its jaw attacks. Its melee combo is blockable, but there's a tricky move where it hops back, a red ring appears, and then it unleashes a spread of ice orbs. These orbs hit the ground to the sides of Kratos, so your best bet is to dodge backward. It usually follows this up with a lunging attack, so be ready to block.

Around the time the dragon has about 1.5 health bars left, it'll grab you and fly off. This triggers a quick-time event – mash [R1] or [R2] to strike it as it flies. Eventually, you'll land back in the arena, and you just need to finish off its remaining health. Another quick-time event will conclude the fight and the favor.
