Master the Health Steal Muspelheim Trial in God of War Ragnarök! Learn enemy weaknesses, effective strategies, and how to manage health to overcome this challenging arena.

Alright, so you've made it to the Health Steal trial in Muspelheim. Don't let the name scare you! It sounds a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it, it's actually one of the easier ones. The main idea here is that you're constantly losing a little bit of health, but you get it back by hitting enemies. Plus, you get a nice health boost when you take one down. So, the goal is simple: kill everything as fast as you can to keep your health topped up!

Here's the rundown on what you'll be facing:

Time LimitNumber of EnemiesEnemy Types
N/A22Raiders, Wisps, Wights, Draugr, Grims, Nokken, Light Elves, Dark Elves

You'll run into a bunch of different baddies. Most of them are pretty weak and will go down with a few quick melee combos. The Raiders, Draugr, and Grims are especially easy. The Nokken are also weak, but they're a bit sneaky. You can spot them by the little green spores they leave behind, and you can often hear them chanting. If you've got a good sound setup, this is a great way to track them down quickly. Definitely prioritize taking out any active Nokken, because they buff and heal their buddies!

The Wisps are also pretty weak, but you'll need to shoot them with arrows first to break their shields before you can whack them with your weapons. Keep that in mind!

Things get a bit more intense when the Light Elves, Dark Elves, and especially the Wights show up. These guys have more health, tougher defenses, and hit harder. It's a good idea to save your Runic Attacks for these tougher enemies. For the weaker ones, just stick to melee combos. If you're finding your health dropping too fast, switch to mostly light attacks. They're faster, so you'll be regaining health more quickly. The Draupnir Spear is fantastic for this, and the Blades of Chaos are a close second. The Leviathan Axe is a bit slower, but honestly, you shouldn't really be in a situation where you need to heal that rapidly if you're keeping up the pace.

The Wights are probably the toughest enemies here. You'll want to use your most powerful attacks to take them down fast. The Light Elves can also give you some trouble, especially when they go into their block stance, indicated by that blue circle. Regular attacks won't work against their shields. You'll need to double-tap [Circle/B] to break through it and stagger them. Most Runic Attacks will also break their stance, but the double-tap is usually more reliable if you're close enough. Just remember, you can't break their shield from a distance, so don't waste your time trying!

Other than those few points, this trial is pretty straightforward and should be one of the quickest ones you complete. It's a great one for practicing those combos you need to unlock other Muspelheim Challenges, so it's worth getting good at!
